Kicking Off the I-GAME Erasmus+ Project with a Successful First Transnational Meeting

Revolutionizing Education Through Serious Board Games

Dracon Rules Design Studio proudly participated in the first Transnational Project Meeting (TPM) of the I-GAME project on April 6, 2022. Hosted in partnership with Challedu (Greece), Archon Studio (Poland), and Asociatia Share Education (Romania), this Erasmus+ initiative aims to explore and implement serious board game methodologies to enhance education and social inclusion.

The Goals of I-GAME

The I-GAME project (Innovative Gaming Methodologies in Education) is designed to:

  • Exchange knowledge and deepen expertise in creating serious board games.

  • Leverage board games as educational tools for engaging vulnerable groups.

  • Disseminate outcomes to educators, the board game industry, and other stakeholders.

Through collaboration, the project partners aim to create tools that combine perspectives from various fields, making education more accessible and impactful.

What Happened at the First TPM

The meeting brought together representatives from all partner organizations to discuss the project's objectives, upcoming activities, and strategies for raising awareness. Key highlights included:

  • Outlining the stages of serious board game creation and their educational applications.

  • Developing a shared understanding of how board games can address educational challenges and promote inclusion.

  • Defining next steps for the project's implementation and dissemination strategy.
