Second LTTA of IGAME Project

In December 2022, the second Learning, Teaching, and Training Activity (LTTA) of the I-GAME Erasmus+ Project took place in Karditsa, Greece. Hosted by Dracon Rules Design Studio, this four-day event focused on bridging the various disciplines essential to creating effective board games as tools for education. Participants gained valuable insights into game design and quality control, setting the stage for innovative applications of serious games in training and inclusion.

Exploring the Mechanics Behind Game Design

Participants were introduced to the history and evolution of game mechanics, with a deep dive into their categories and applications. Through seminars and workshops, they learned how to identify the most suitable mechanics for their intended goals and were guided in crafting structured and clear rules. The training emphasized the importance of aligning game elements with educational objectives to maximize impact.

A Collaborative Learning Experience

The event also featured engaging discussions with professionals and open forums for participants to share their experiences and perspectives. By the end of the LTTA, attendees had a comprehensive understanding of how to integrate these methodologies into their own training routines, using board games to foster engagement and inclusivity.
