What is the best way to finish an amazing project?
By coming together, presenting the results of a dedicated international team, and celebrating the journey that made them possible.

Dracon Rules Design Studio was happy to participate in the TeachBlue Final Conference in Wrocław, Poland, where the outcomes of the Erasmus+ project “TeachBlue: An Innovative Marine and Ocean Literacy Toolkit for Early Childhood Teachers” were officially presented.

The event brought together educators, researchers, project partners, and stakeholders interested in environmental education, early childhood learning, and marine literacy. It was a meaningful opportunity to share the work developed throughout the project and to reflect on how ocean education can become more accessible, creative, and engaging for young learners.

Presenting the TeachBlue Results

During the conference, participants had the opportunity to explore the main results of the TeachBlue project, including:

  • the Blue Mission educational board game, designed by the Dracon team;
  • the Teachers’ Curriculum and Educational Activities Guide;
  • the immersive 360° underwater videos;
  • the online learning platform and digital resources.

Each result was created with the same purpose: to support teachers in bringing marine and ocean literacy into early childhood education in a practical, playful, and age-appropriate way.

Blue Mission: Learning About the Ocean Through Play

For Dracon Rules Design Studio, one of the most important contributions to the project was the development of Blue Mission, an educational board game designed for children aged 4–8.

Through storytelling, cooperation, exploration, and discovery, the game helps children understand key ocean literacy concepts such as biodiversity, marine habitats, sustainability, and the connection between human actions and ocean health.

Seeing teachers discover the game, interact with its components, and understand how it can be used in the classroom was one of the most rewarding moments for our team. For us, the conference was not only about presenting a final product — it was about seeing how an idea can become a real educational tool in the hands of teachers.

A Celebration of Teamwork and Impact

The TeachBlue Final Conference was also a moment to celebrate collaboration. Throughout the project, partners from different countries, institutions, and areas of expertise worked together to create a complete toolkit for early childhood teachers.

This collaboration allowed the project to combine marine science, pedagogy, digital learning, hands-on activities, and game-based learning into one shared educational approach.

For Dracon, being part of this journey confirmed once again the value of educational games as tools for meaningful learning. When children play, they do not only memorise information - they explore, ask questions, make decisions, and build emotional connections with the topic.

Bringing the Ocean Closer to Classrooms

TeachBlue supports a simple but powerful idea: ocean education should start early.

Children do not need to live next to the sea to care about it. They need educators who can help them understand why the ocean matters, how it connects to our daily lives, and why protecting it is part of building a more sustainable future.

We are proud to have contributed to a project that helps children understand, from an early age, that the ocean is the heartbeat of our planet.

A big thank you to all TeachBlue partners for the excellent cooperation, shared vision, and dedication throughout the project. Together, we created results that will continue supporting teachers and inspiring young learners beyond the end of the project.
