We’re thrilled to announce the approval of our latest Erasmus+ project, Tethics: A Serious Game for Ethics in Technology!
As technology continues to reshape our world, ethical challenges grow in complexity, requiring innovative solutions. Tethics is designed to bridge the gap between technological advancements and the need for ethical education by introducing a unique, interactive approach to learning.
This project will develop a board game that immerses learners and trainers in real-world scenarios, encouraging critical thinking, ethical decision-making, and civic engagement. By combining education with gameplay, Tethics transforms complex concepts into accessible and engaging experiences for vocational education and training (VET) settings.
What is Tethics About?
Tethics focuses on the following key goals:
Empowering VET trainers with tools that promote ethical awareness.
Encouraging learners to explore ethical dilemmas in technology, such as artificial intelligence, data privacy, and environmental sustainability.
Supporting inclusivity and sustainability by integrating these values into the game design.
The project will offer both physical and digital versions of the game, ensuring flexibility and accessibility for diverse educational environments.
Who’s Behind the Project?
Tethics is a collaboration between:
National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA)
Dracon Rules Design Studio
Galaxea Advisory
Together, these partners bring expertise in ethics, technology, and education to create a groundbreaking learning tool that equips educators and learners with the skills needed to navigate the ethical challenges of the modern world.
Why Tethics Matters
As we enter an era of unprecedented technological growth, understanding the ethical implications of our actions has never been more important. Tethics goes beyond traditional teaching methods, offering a dynamic, hands-on approach that makes learning engaging and impactful.
Stay tuned for updates as we begin this exciting journey, from game development to the launch of multiplier events where you can experience Tethics firsthand!
