The Tethics: A Serious Game for Ethics in Technology project officially launched with an exciting Transnational Project Meeting (TPM) on February 3, 2024, at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA). This kick-off meeting set the stage for the development of an innovative educational board game aimed at addressing ethical challenges in technology.

Introductions and Team Roles
Team members introduced their backgrounds and shared how their expertise would contribute to the project.
A clear structure of roles and responsibilities was established, ensuring collaboration at every step.
Board Game Development
A proposal for creating both printable and digital versions of the board game was presented.
Plans were made for an in-person playability test to ensure the game’s functionality and impact.
Online Presence
The team discussed the creation of a project website, logo, game name, and social media accounts to boost visibility and engagement.
Critical Design Elements
The board game will integrate critical thinking and ethics-by-design principles, teaching players that every design decision carries ethical implications.
Philosophical, gender, and climate change perspectives will be incorporated to enrich the educational experience.
Administrative and Budget Planning
Budgetary details, including travel and event expenses, were reviewed, along with the importance of proper documentation for reporting.
Next Steps
Develop the project’s online presence, including the logo and social media platforms.
Finalize the design and mechanics of the board game.
Schedule and plan an in-person session to test the game.
Prepare for the next TPM in Paris, tentatively planned for late September or October 2024.
